“Evening in Paris” Birthday Tea

On April 23rd I celebrated my 27th Birthday!! For years I have wanted to throw a tea party for my wonderful bunch of girlfriends! We love tea and have been to various tearooms that serve a variety of them. We visited Dickens Tea Room in Lake Mary, FL, which imports and serves food and tea from England. For an early Birthday gift my sister, Jessica took me to Townhouse Tea Shoppe in Mt. Laurel, AL, that served more of an Irish themed tea! Both were lovely tearooms and I think it would be wonderful to borrow the tradition from our English friends and start having tea every afternoon! Consider this my invitation to come have high tea with me anytime! I have always loved Paris, France, it was a dream of mine when I was young, became reality after high school, and is still high on my “traveling adventure” list to return… soon! So, “Evening In Paris” was the obvious theme for my birthday tea (plus it was the name of the tea I had at the Townhouse Tea Room!). I set out the antique dishes, baked up some French pastry classics and planned a menu with the hopes of a delightful evening with my girlfriends! I hope you will enjoy the recipes and pictures from my birthday tea as I share them with you throughout this week, keep checking back to see what’s being served next!!
